 Anxiety Checklist - (Scroll down for Social Anxiety)
Note: Since there are many varieties of anxiety disorder the symptoms that appear on this first list will be of the most general sort. If you have been experiencing AT LEAST FOUR of these symptoms for the last SIX MONTHS AND they have been getting in the way of achieving your goals or have caused you distress or impairment in social, occupational or school settings then you may want to consult with a qualified mental health practitioner to determine if you could benefit from some form of professional help.

1 - Excessive worry occurring more days than not for at least six months.
2 - Difficulty in controlling the worry.
3 - The experience of at least three of the following: restlessness, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, mind going blank, problems in sleeping, irritability.
4 - Above symptoms cause significant distress or impairment in important areas of functioning.
5 - Active avoidance of situations, thoughts about the situations, or people connected with the situations which are associated with the symptoms.
6 - Recognition that the fear is excessive, unreasonable, or self-defeating
7 - Attempting to reduce or suppress the anxiety/worry, or the symptoms of anxiety or worry though repetitive or "ritualistic" behavior.
